EXPORTING VIVEO FROM FINAL CUT PRO TO A WIDE SCREEN FORMAT

1-File-->Export-->“Using Quicktime Conversion”a  

2-A “Save As” window will appear. In the lower left of the window is an “options” button. Click this.

3. A “Movie Settings” dialogue box will appear. Notice the setting in diagram 3 and match them accordingly. Start by clicking the “Setting” button under the ‘Video’ field.

3. Set the “Compression Type” H264’ (This isa compressed formate for video that reduces its file size, but retains quality). Then Set the “Compressor Quality” to “High”.

4. Click on the 'Dimensions' pull down menu. Select 'Custom' as shown. Enter 856 width x 480 height for the video size (Youtube dimensions). Make sure the 'Preserve aspect ratio:' and 'Deinterlace Source Video' boxes are NOT checked on (i.e., as shown in picture below).
