We chose to do our project on an artist, Tom Thomson, who greatly influenced Canadian art. We find Tom Thomson is a very inspirational man and has created many beautiful paintings. We learnt about him last year in art class and we thought he would be an ideal person to do this biography on.
For this project we used the program Final Cut Pro. Some of the techniques we used were to make videos out of certain pictures and to dissolve and add special effects to them. We also created our own background music by collaborating some of the sounds given in Final Cut Pro. A narrated audio that we wrote and recorded was added to coincide with the pictures. While we were doing this project we learned how to use Final Cut Pro very effectively. We made many corrections to our project to make it as good as possible. After reviewing our video documentary, we adjusted the volume of the audio and background music along with its speed. We also added credits at the end of our documentary.
