A man who devoted himself to his people, in times of a
racist government, and who's legacy has continued to live on

Here is a breakdown of our project, and the different tasks that we needed to be completed.
Pre-production
The pre-production stge of our project was probably the most difficult part of the assignment. To begin, we researched The Greatest Canadians on the internet. Due to the large variety of characters, we were able to narrow it down to a couple interesting figures. We finally agreed on Louis Riel, a controverisal figure in Canadian history, who stood up for his Metis people in Manitoba. After deciding to research on him, we put together a timeline, that we were able to split into seven sections. We assigned each other different sections and after several editing stages, Evan and I put together our final narrative. After our narrative was completed, we moved on to the heavy production process.
Production
We started the production section with difficulty, as we weren't able to find a lot of different pictures of Louis Riel, especially in his childhood, as he lived during the mid 19th centruy, and had a modest upbringing. Evan was assigned to searching for the pictures while I was in charge of figuring out which pictures needed to be used, relating to the narravtive. The second section of the production was to find music that would correspond well with the narrative. Evan was assigned this section while I searched for the harder pictures, that took more researching. Pictures were divided in two sections; A-Roll and B-Roll. Since we had no success in finding a variety of pictures of Riel during the childhood, we resorted to B-Roll footage, images that had to do with Riel, but weren't directly about the topic. This worked out fine and we were able to move on the post-production phase.
Post-Production
In the post-production phase, we put all the different components of our project together. To begin, we put the narrative in without the pcitures or the music. We located where we needed the different pictures and the time they should be shown, relatinig to the text. After this section was finished, we put all our pictures into the program, all corresponding to the written section. We continued by searching for music that worked well with the narrative. Evan and Robert found that the music was one of the best parts of our assignment, and we recieved many complements from our peers. Finally, we entered the effects for the pictures and continued by writting the credits at the end of the piece. We felt happy with the result and were ready to view it in the Chamandy.
After recieving critics from our peers, small adjustments needed to be made with the sound and some pixelated pictures in our video. We were able to fix this without any problems and we were finally completed our production.
